Saints and Sinners was composed by David Francey, a Scottish Canadian carpenter, construction worker and singer songwriter, whose song ‘Saints & Sinners’ was included in his award winning debut album ‘Torn Screen Door’ (Laker Music 1999). released when David was 45. Born in Ayrshire to parents who were factory workers, David moved to Canada when he was twelve. For decades, he worked across Canada in rail yards, construction sites, and in the Yukon, all the while writing poetry, setting it to melodies in his head and singing it to himself as he worked.
