In 2017, a very young Kim Carnie released a sensational 6-track CD called In Her Company/Na Cuideachd. That mini-CD contained traditional Scottish Gaelic songs, an Irish famine lament and two songs of her own.
The maturity of her singing and song writing was stunning. Reviewers and audiences were blown away by her sweet, rich-toned, slightly husky contralto voice, and her great ability to ‘inhabit’ a song and convey its emotion. Five years later, Kim’s much-awaited debut full-length album (with all-new material) has finally arrived.
