This timely book is essential reading for anyone who seriously wants to know the truth about this crucial issue. The author is a retired Methodist minister who left South Africa in 1978, following his designation by the apartheid government of that time as a ‘banned person’. He came to England and continued to engage in the struggle against apartheid as Africa Secretary of the British Council of Churches.

During the past two decades he has immersed himself in a detailed study of the situation in Palestine/Israel, becoming actively involved in the Kairos Palestine movement. This convinced him of the close comparisons between South African and Israeli apartheid, a conviction strengthened in the past year by the International Human Rights Watch and prestigious Israeli Human Rights groups. They have made public their conclusion that Israel is indeed an apartheid state.
