Yer old faither

The recent Glasgow Film Festival was followed by the annual Berlin Festival, but for obvious reasons there were no red carpets, press conferences or parading film stars. Instead, you went online, chose and paid for your film, put your feet up, opened the popcorn and watched it all at home. Perhaps cinema of the future?
In the Glasgow list I came across Yer Old Faither, a documentary directed by Heather Croall, about the life, work and consuming interests of her father, an eccentric Scottish doctor who emigrated with his wife and family to a town in Southern Australia in the early seventies.
