Theology forum conference 2025

Following last year’s successful Open House conference on Scotland’s synodal journey, people with a background or an interest in theology got together to form a Scottish Catholic Theology Forum. It aims to serve the church by

• promoting dialogue within the church
• creating a platform for theological reflection and discernment in the light of Vatican II
• fostering synodal style of church.

The forum will hold its first conference on 14 June and offer some theological reflections on a synodal church in Scotland. It will reflect on how we get to a theology of synodality; consider synodality from the perspective of women; and discuss synodality as a mark of the church. It is open to all.

The conference will be held in Eyre Hall, Glasgow Archdiocesan Offices, 196 Clyde St, Glasgow G1 4JY from 11am – 3.30pm.
