Motherwell’s synodal journey

‘The people were filled with expectation.’ (Luke 3.15) These words neatly encapsulate the feelings of so many people who participated in the diocesan synodal process. That phase in all the dioceses in Scotland is now concluded and we await the collated national report from our bishops which will be sent to Rome. Next year bishops from across the world will meet in Synod in Rome and Pope Francis will then issue an Apostolic Exhortation in response to the entire synodal process.
