The book I would recommend this Christmas is This Thing of Darkness by Harry Thompson, published by Tinder Press. It’s not a new book, published as it was in 2005 shortly after the author died. It was Harry Thompson’s first novel though he had already distinguished himself as a writer of biographies and a producer of radio and television programmes. It’s a long book (742 pages) but a compelling story, easy to read and well worth the commitment.
