Jean Vanier: a community responds

As Lent began this year, a posthumous independent inquiry found that Jean Vanier was guilty of abusive acts toward adult women over many years. In his life he had founded the communities of L’Arche and of Faith and Light, and been widely respected and loved. For some, he was a saint in the making. A member of L’Arche reflects on how a community begins to process its sadness, anger and hurt, as it remembers the women’s experience.
