Restating beliefs in today’s world

I advance on tiptoe as I respond to Sara Parvis’ article on resurrection of the body (Open House, June/July). With respect, I would find it useful to distinguish between flesh and body, soul and person, time and presence.
By way of introducing myself may I say that as a scientist I studied at the feet of Francis Crick, the DNA man, who astonished us in his visit to the Chemistry Department of Glasgow Uni in the 50’s with his presentation of the DNA double helix. We students were studying x-ray crystallography at the time and Crick had used that tool with brilliant creatively.
