Evangelisation: a third way

I read Diane Foy’s article in the June/July edition of Open House which I found to be thoughtful, provocative and uplifting. Rather than being drawn into the never ending debates on the question of women’s ordination and the question of mandatory celibacy for Catholic priests of the Latin Rite, she looks for a third way, that is, to promote the ministries of the laity within the Church, both male and female, and in a way which not only leads to less rather than greater clericalism but also to a Church that actively works in harmony to fulfil the dreams proposed by Pope Francis, in Querida Amazonia.
